My top three Photoshop hacks

Today I’m letting you in on a little secret, three secrety to be exact. I’m showing you my top three Photoshop hacks to save you lots of time and nerves. As always you can watch me explain these hacks in the videos below each hack.

Hack #1 a perfect selection within seconds. There’s lots of ways to make a selection in Photoshop, and one of them literally takes you one second to do. When using the Selection Tool, instead of selecting yourself simply click on “Select Motive” and Photoshop does all the work for you.

Hack #2 expand your photo super quickly. Have you ever taken a photo where there’s just not enough white space on one side, the top of the head is too close to the edge of the photo or you need to add a centimeter for the feared Instagram Crop? Well the solution is very simple: Drag your photo to the desired size, right click and fill the area “content based”.

Hack #3 adding interest to your photo with shadows. This hack is super cool to use in product photography. Simply search for a photo with black lines or a black shape, drag that photo onto your photo and hit the “Multiply” blending mode.
